You know what is common about all great things?

All of them end up having an auto-biography. So, it is no surprise that I have one as well.

I am, thus far, the most versatile piece in any wardrobe. I am a classic and I have the perfect rags-to-riches story (Thanks to Levi's Strauss for that, btw) to inspire you to the moon.

I am the Denim Dress, a button -down, collared wonder that can amp up any look, and this is my story.

Like every other piece of cloth, my story too starts at the browsing rack of a clothing store. I was hanging there, eyeing people as they walk by, hoping one of them would pick me up. My sale day did come late, but come it did, with surprises galore. She picked me up and put me in her trial bag, having already made up her mind to take me home. After about an hour of being carried around, getting un-tagged and being billed I found myself in her closet.

I saw ( with envy, of course) all the other gorgeous ladies residing there. They were pretty, soft and beautiful. What match was I to them? I was just a coarse blue thing with no shape. I knew I was impulse buy and would be tossed in a corner till she realized she didn't want me anymore.

Boy, was I surprised!

She had plans for me. Great plans!

She ironed me out, painted her nails in my shade and decided to put my versatility to test. I had a whole week dedicated to myself! I managed to get five completely different looks out.

Day 1:

The first day was all about me. She buttoned me up and added a blue-toned scarf to enhance the neck, put on a pair of tanned ankle boots and was ready to take on the world. Needless to say, she rocked the comfy couture appearance.

Day 2:

It started with me meeting a cute dress, that defined all things vibrant with its floral prints. My girl put on this dress, teamed it up with sky-high stilettos and used me as a layer to complete the look. This was my #ootd moment people. I looked sassy.

Day 3:

I was introduced to a piece from up north. A classy Phulkari dupatta and a pair of matching leggings. Embroidered with catchy flowers, the dupatta was not used to a collar, but my friend pulled it off. She even put on colourful earrings and a pair of blue mojris to go with it. Have you ever felt like a celebrity? I did at the exact moment. #lookoftheday unlocked.

Day 4:

It was all about cuteness that day. I was teamed up with an A-line skirt and flatform sneakers. She wore me to work that day! How amazing is that? The skirt, in all its floral printed glory was complementing my simple and gruff look with great passion. It was one of those days where I just couldn't get ovr myself

.

Day 5:

We went the classic route that day. A denim skirt ( Hello, sister!) and a cool black top to complete it. The high-top block heeled boots just brought the whole look together. This was my moment to shine!

That's all for the day, folks. Tell me which look was your favourite, so, I can create more of the same.

Loads of Love!
